Umeå - 04/07/15

We started off the trip early in the morning by the sundeck. Since me and one of my best friends Eve hadn't seen each other in a while we had a bit to catch up on.
After the boat and bus we finally arrived and before we started shopping we decided to eat some sallads and these were really tasty. I accidentally turned on the fish-eye effect on my camera and wasn't able to turn it off until later so you have to excuse this picture.
A break at Espresso House.
Since it was a Saturday, after a while all the stores started to close so we went to Max to eat and chill. They advertise their hamburgers as the best in Sweden. I think thought it was tasty but definitely not the best I've had.

Then we took the boat back over, returning tired and a lot poorer. All in all it was a really nice trip and mostly because the company was so great <3 . A haul will be up soon.

Coast to Coast USA - Day 5

This was the day I had the least pictures from, we ate and then started the bus ride to Philadelphia. The pictures show a cool car we drove past, and my voss water bottle which I bought the day before.

We ate, and got a guided tour around Philadelphia. All the pictures are of the murals they have in Philadelphia, though me and pretty much everyone fell asleep on the guided tour, and it wasn't very interesting, at least not in my opinion.

Then we drove the bus to Fairfax, Virginia. Where we ate, I got pasta, and then we went to sleep.

WARNING! Long post

Where do I even begin? Lots of things have happened! I haven't blogged for soon to be two weeks?? I'm failing at this... Anyway, I thought I'd update you with what's new in my life.

This is from last week's Tuesday and Wednesday I believe. I went out to eat a lot, hung out at Ella's house and the sunset picture is from when I drove home from there.

Then I slept at Ella's house for two days, with two sets of different people. These pics are from the second day*, which also happened to be Midsummer.

We went out and took a lot of pictures, danced like maniacs and had loads of fun.

Then I had time to catch up with this beauty, have a birthday part for my relatives before I had to get packing. The selfie is portraying my feelings of dread to take the train all by myself for the first time. But it was a lot of fun, and you can see me watching the newest episode of Pretty Little Liars.

In Helsinki I had such a good time! Shopping, eating, going to the movies, just hanging out! I didn't actually take a lot of photos, so this can't give an accurate picture of how much fun we had.

Then I took the train to Tampere to see my other friends! Oh and on the picture in the left, corner you can see me, Inka (whom I visited in Helsinki) and Veera (Tampere), that picture is a year old. On the snapchat selfie, right next to them, you can see me and Sara from her birthday party which was this Friday. I met all of these lovely people on my language trip a year ago!

After one fun night in Tampere I got on the train back home. On the upper picture, is the view from the car, driving back to Sara's apartment, where I got two hours of sleep before I had to wake up.

Then today I started filming a new video! This will be a haul, but I don't know when I'll post it, my summer job starts tomorrow so I'll have to see how much time I have!

* I didn't have any pics (that I could publish) from the first day, so you'll have to imagine them.

A little update

Can seriously now wait until Spain this summer, this is from two years ago.

Heey, the test week is in full swing and I've already finished two tests, religion and physics. I love that we get to have so much free time, I actually kind of like exam weeks because of this, but there is still way too much to learn and that sucks.

Long monday

Hello! I'm sitting in school right now, waiting for this day to be over. My Monday school days usually end at 14:30 but since I'm taking a kind of health pass course I have to stay in school until 7. You have to have it to work around food and such stuff in Finland. I'm not sure if that's the kind of area that I want to work in, in the future but it's a good thing to have, especially since we can get it easily and cheap from school. Talk to you later!

Coast to Coast USA - Day 4

hellooo! It's time for another part of my coast to coast posts! (That totally rhymed, wow).

First a typical picture of an american hotel breakfast, bagels (yummy), scrambled eggs, a donut (because USA duuuh) and some fruit to make the breakfast a little healthier. // Then we rode the bus back into NYC

First off we visited the 9/11 memorial which was really beautiful and touching. // A picture from a cemetery near the 9/11 memorial, don't know the name of it, but if you do please let me know.

Then we went on the ferry tour of The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Since I had already visited the Statue of Liberty it wasn't a big deal for me but Ellis Island had the best museum ever!!! For a history nerd like me it was heaven.

After that we got some dinner at Schnipper's, which is where I ate the best burger I've ever had!! Then a few of us quickly got some frozen yoghurt from across the street.

To top the evening off I got to see a real broadway musical! The seats were so high up I was physically afraid to fall down and there was this big russian dude in front of me so I couldn't see all that well but it was stil such an amazing experience to see Aladdin in the New Amsterdam Theatre.

This was a great day!

Coast to Coast USA - Day 3

Hi everyone!
This is day 3 of my language trip to the US. To read the previous ones press the label "USA 2014" under this post!

Day three started with a last selfie in Boston and a long bus trip down to NYC. New York City is my favourite destination of all the ones on this trip. Even though I had already been there a couple of times it's a freaking amazing city and you get flabbergasted every time you visit.

This picture I took from the bus, I'm not really sure what the woman was thinking but she was rollerskating with huge bags of empty bottles down the street. Pretty cray cray. Anyway, we went to eat and then we got some shopping done.

A selfie with NYC. Later on we went to the Empire State Building, despite having been to New York several times earlier I had never visited the Empire State Building but wow it was amazing.

The view was absolutely incredible and it was hard to fathom how high up you really were.

After we ate our Mexican dinner we got some more shopping done. I got to spend loads of money at my absolute favourite store, Victoria's Secret! Next up was Times Square, very crowded but I guess it was pretty cool seeing all the billboards.

After a long day of travelling, sight-seeing and shopping we finally got to our hotel and were able to rest. (obviously not all of the shopping is mine, I'm not a shopaholic) ;)

Our memories of the ocean will linger on, long after our footprints in the sand are gone.

Obviously not my pictures since they're absolutely gorgeous, all rights go to their respective owners.

I'm strezzzzzzzzed out. I'm so ready to go for a vacation right now, school is really tough since I've got one of my worst periods (schedule wise) right now. It sucks since I'm so tired of school already. At least summer is right around the corner, I'm trying to keep that in mind with the workload I've got.

I've got one month off before I start my summer job! I'm so grateful that I actually got a summer job since it's very competitive where I live, right after I'm done with my summer job we're going for a family holiday to Spain. Can't wait!

Coast to Coast USA - Day 2

Hello!
I woke up today with the worst migraine but it's gotten a lot better so I decided to make another part of my coast to coast diary.

Ootd, everything from H&M // A pic of Boston from the bus

In the Public Garden // Walking along the streets of Boston

Make Way for the Ducklings, a statue contributed of the children's book with the same name. //
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody anyone?

A duck tour bus // View of Boston from the water

When we got tired of shopping we stopped for som Ben&Jerry's // A little bit of shopping

Day 2 in Boston. First off we had a guided tour on our bus and then we went for a walk around Boston. We had lunch at Faneuil Hall (didn't have any pictures apparently) and then we went on a duck tour. A duck tour is basically the same as any other tour except the "bus" is amphibious (it can be both on land and on water). So first we got a little tour around Boston on land and then in the water.

After that we went to Prudential Center to get some shopping done, but frankly there wasn't a lot of stores that interested us so we got ice-cream instead. Then we got some dinner and went back to the hotel.

So disappointed that I didn't get to eat at Dunkin' Donuts while we were in Boston. There was one on pretty much every corner (Since DD is from Boston) but we still didn't stop, such a wasted opportunity oh well.
